Finding
the right wooden pieces to work on involves a lot of driving and walking
around .
The trees have usually been dead for quite a while, so they have to be structurally sound, have a good "bone" structure, and reveal a shape which sparks my imagination and talks to me. They are beech broken off in a storm, except bottom left, which is two laburnum trunks intertwined and held together by ivy. |
